Stop Global Warming

GOALS OF THE inVitroMeat FOUNDATION

The current bio-industry –the worldwide exploitation of farm animals for meat production– is held in large part responsible for environmental pollution and global warming as a result of the emission of carbon dioxide and methane. Furthermore, by the standards of the modern food industry it may be qualified as inefficient and totally outdated. This, and the brilliant invention in 1950 with Patent in 1997 of Willem van Eelen -- namely: (in vitro [completely outside the body] cultured meat) -- plus a strong ethical feeling, has impelled a number of legal experts to establish the “inVitroMeat” International Fundraising FOUNDATION. Fundraising, therefore, is very important. Various activities are geared towards that purpose. Either directly or indirectly. They include:

  • The provision of expert advice in grant application procedures in various interested countries (with deviating regulations) for the expansion of research and production.
  • The promotion or development of initiatives and collaborative alliances with new players as well as with the current meat and food industry.
  • The organization of fundraising parties, publicity/TV, the provision of information through lectures, etc., the spontaneous arrangement of personal meetings with wealthy individuals and the subsequent maintenance of contacts.
  • The start-up of national and international lobbying activities.
  • The acquisition of sponsoring by and the building up of contacts with existing charity lotteries.
  • The promotion of donations and gifts.
  • The establishment of a recommending committee consisting of nationally and internationally prominent individuals.
  • The provision of possibilities for taking a financial interest in the project, for collaboration with the InVitroMeat FOUNDATION, and for making use of the built-up store of know-how and experience by starters in order to give a worldwide boost to research and production.
  • The provision of scholarships in order to promote research in the field of Vitro Meat.
  • To provide worldwide vitro meat operations with financial support and advice.
  • To co-ordinate the exchange of know-how, expertise, and data obtained in the course of research, production, publication and patent-related activities by the various operations.
  • To provide administrative support (assistance and advice) in respect of, inter alia, grant applications by the various vitro meat operations.
  • To promote and finance new national and local initiatives worldwide.
