InVitroMeat Foundation
The inVitroMeat Foundation aims to make a structural contribution to the worldwide production of safe meat and thus help eliminate food shortages in the world. It will also make for a cleaner environment and eliminate much animal suffering.
The current bio-industry –the worldwide exploitation of farm animals for meat production– is held in large part responsible for environmental pollution and global warming as a result of the emission of carbon dioxide and methane. Furthermore, by the standards of the modern food industry it may be qualified as inefficient and totally outdated. This, and the brilliant invention in 1950 with Patent in 1997 of Willem van Eelen -- namely: (in vitro [completely outside the body] cultured meat) -- plus a strong ethical feeling, has impelled a number of legal experts to establish the “inVitroMeat” International Fundraising FOUNDATION.
